What Gaash Score actually checks

An honest guide to Gaash Score: completeness, layout, job-match keywords, and why we never say “ATS-approved.”

Plain English

Gaash Score is a simple check on your resume: how complete it feels, whether basic layout/clarity signals look okay, and (if you paste a job description) how your wording lines up with that posting. It is not a promise that any company’s system will “approve” you.

We built it to surface fixable gaps before you apply, not to grade your worth as a candidate.

What it looks at

  • Completeness: missing contact, thin experience/projects, empty sections that usually matter.
  • Clarity / layout signals: things that make a resume harder to skim (without claiming every ATS on earth).
  • Job match (optional): keywords and skills against a posting you paste in.
  • Findings you can act on: short notes, not a mysterious single number with no explanation.

What “ATS” talk usually gets wrong

Applicant Tracking Systems differ by company. Some parse cleanly; some don’t. No resume tool can honestly stamp “ATS-approved” for every employer. When sites say that, they’re selling certainty they don’t have.

What you can do: keep structure simple, use a real PDF, write clear section headings, and include skills you actually have. Score helps with that checklist. It doesn’t override a human reading your file.

What it is not

  • Not a guarantee you’ll get an interview.
  • Not a substitute for honest rewriting of your experience.
  • Not an AI black box deciding your career. You still edit the words.
  • Not included on the free forever plan (see below).

A sensible way to use the feedback

  • Fix obvious gaps first (missing phone, empty sections, broken dates).
  • If you paste a JD, add skills you truly have. Don’t keyword-stuff fiction.
  • Ignore advice that would make the resume sound unlike you.
  • Re-check once, then stop obsessing over the number and send the application.
